The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) is the helpline of our Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) when it comes to almost all concerns. As a matter of fact, they’ve received note from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) that they are the main go-to of OFWs with help for cultural services, legal matters, social security concerns, employment remittances, and etc.
Just recently, OWWA stated that they were successful in launching a hotline number that Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) can reach in the event that they have any type of query or concern they need to make the OWWA aware of.
If you have an OFW family member, friend, or relative, you can make them aware that the hotline for the OWWA is 1348. By dialing this number, they will be able to successfully reach OWWA. As a matter of fact, this hotline is available 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week.
The hotline will be manned accordingly in order to be able to provide appropriate service to OFWs.
Silvestre Bello III, OWWA Board of Trustees Chair and Department of Labor Secretary, said that this hotline was innovated mainly to OFWs who need help as the OWWA is the one who stands as the government of overseas workers.
With the Hotline 1348, clients can easily reach the OWWA 24/7 Operations Center that is responsible for monitoring and endorsing OFW-related concerns to appropriate OWWA offices and/or government agencies for immediate action. This is our way of adhering to President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s mandate to improve government programs and services for our OFWs and their families.”
