On Mobile Devices (iOS and Android) Step 1. Open the Messenger App: Launch the Facebook Messenger application on your device.
Step 2. Locate the Conversation: Scroll through your chats to find the conversation you wish to delete.
Step 3. Delete the Conversation
For iOS: Swipe left on the conversation. Tap “More” and then select “Delete.” For Android: Press and hold the conversation. Tap “More” from the menu that appears at the bottom, and select Remove. Hover over the conversation. Click the three-dot menu that appears and select “Unsend” Step 4. Confirm Deletion: A confirmation prompt will appear. Click “Unsend for Everyone or Unsend for You” to remove the conversation from your history.
Important Notes Deleting vs. Unsending
Deleting a conversation or message removes it from your chat history but does not affect the recipient’s view. Unsending a message removes it from both your and the recipient’s chat history. Unsend Feature
To unsend a message, you typically have a limited window (usually 10 minutes) after sending.
