All Photoshop users know how much power the tool has in doing things you can never possibly imagine. If done correctly, it can turn any person a Hollywood star with perfect body structure; it can turn an old building into a new one, and a lot more. Photoshop has a lot of tools and all of those have particular uses that can conspire to create the perfect project for you. In this article, you will be learning how to blend two (2) images together.
Step 1: Two images that you want to blend
Of course, you would not be able to push through with this project if you do not have two (2) images, right? So you need to first ensure two (2) images, probably two that will blend together nicely; make sure they have the same resolution and color space. Open both in Photoshop.
Step 2: Combining the images firsthand
We need to contain both of the images in the same project. This can be done by just dragging; place your cursor anywhere in the image. Click and drag the image to the place where the other image is resting. Be minded that the image that you dragged will become the top layer.
Once you see that both layers are in the same project, everything is set. We can now go with the 3rd step which is
Step 3: Adding the layer mask
In our previous lessons, we learned what a layer mask is, right? For a quick refresher, layer masks in Photoshop are used to accurately control the transparency of the layer they are part of. We also mentioned there that it can be used for things like this, if you remember.
