How to Change Wallpaper Using a Personal Photo on iPhone, iPad, and iPad Mini Changing the wallpaper on your iPhone , iPad , or iPad Mini using a personal photo is a great way to personalize your device. Here’s how you can do it:
Step 1: Open Settings On your iPhone , iPad , or iPad Mini , tap the Settings app. Step 2: Go to Wallpaper Scroll down and tap Wallpaper . Step 3: Choose a New Wallpaper Tap Choose a New Wallpaper at the top of the screen. Step 4: Select From Your Photos From the options that appear, select All Photos , Recents , or any specific Album where your personal photo is stored. Step 5: Pick Your Photo Browse your photos and tap on the photo you want to set as your wallpaper. Step 6: Move and Scale Once you’ve selected the photo, you’ll see a preview screen. You can:
Move : Drag the image around to adjust its position. Scale : Use pinch gestures to zoom in or out if necessary to fit the screen. Step 7: Choose Display Option Below the preview, you’ll see two display options:
Still : Keeps the wallpaper static. Perspective : Adds a slight motion effect as you tilt your device (optional and based on your device’s iOS version). You can turn off Perspective Zoom by tapping the Perspective Zoom toggle.
Step 8: Set the Wallpaper After adjusting the photo, tap Set at the bottom of the screen. You will be given three options:
Set Lock Screen : Makes the photo the wallpaper for your lock screen only. Set Home Screen : Makes the photo the wallpaper for your home screen only. Set Both : Uses the photo for both the lock screen and home screen. Alternative Method: From the Photos App You can also change your wallpaper directly from the Photos app:
Open Photos : Launch the Photos app and find the personal photo you want to use. Select the Photo : Tap on the photo to view it full screen. Tap the Share Button : The share icon looks like a square with an upward-pointing arrow (found at the bottom-left corner). Choose “Use as Wallpaper” : Scroll down the share options and tap Use as Wallpaper . Move, Scale, and Set : Adjust the photo and set it as your wallpaper following the same steps as above. To change your wallpaper or background using pictures that you found online To change your wallpaper or background using pictures that you found online on your iPhone , iPad , or iPad Mini , follow these steps:
Step 1: Find and Save the Picture Online Open Safari (or any browser on your device). Search for the image you want to use as wallpaper. Once you find the picture, tap and hold on the image. A menu will pop up. Select Add to Photos to save the image to your Photos app. Step 2: Go to Settings Open the Settings app on your device. Step 3: Navigate to Wallpaper Scroll down and tap on Wallpaper . Step 4: Choose a New Wallpaper Tap Choose a New Wallpaper . Step 5: Select Your Saved Image Tap All Photos or Recents and find the picture you saved from the internet. Step 6: Move and Scale the Image Once selected, you’ll see a preview screen where you can move or scale the image. Use pinch-to-zoom or drag the image to position it exactly how you want it to appear on your screen. Step 7: Choose Display Option Select either:
