They call this new format the “Multi-purpose” and will be useful in many transactions. Furthermore, this multi-purpose clearance will change the face of identification; as it will no only serve for employment purposes, it can also be used for different kinds of transactions.
“This is in line with the present administration … to simplify the government process. Kasama ang NBI doon kaya ito ang resulta ng aming ginawang effort,” said Nicki Suarez, a public information officer at NBI.
The price of this multi-purpose clearance will be at PHP115.00/copy. In addition to that, according to NBI-Information and Communication Technology Division Deputy Director Atty. Jojo Yap, this multi-purpose clearance is renewable.
What uses can you make with this new multi-purpose clearance?
We all know that the main use of this clearance is for employment. With its new facility, Filipinos can now use the multi-purpose clearance in a variety of events. Moreover, Filipinos can also use this as proof of citizenship or identity abroad.
The NBI started releasing these multi-purpose clearances last October 2, 2017. Meaning, all people who would be receiving their NBI clearances later than October 2, 2017 will be subject to this change; yes, you will be able to experience the multi-purpose use of this clearance.
