How to Earn CPD units for PRC License Renewal


The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) officially released a statement as regards the full implementation of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) compliance. Stated in the Republic Act No. 10912, the CPD units requirement is mandatory for all professionals prior to them being able to renew their licenses.  The true question for them now is – How can I earn CPD units?


First and foremost, what are CPD units?  This CPD actually refers to the process of instilling or impressing advanced knowledge, ethical values, and skills in a specific field of study or profession for life-long learning.  Before we go ahead to the topic of how you can earn CPD units, let me first give you the required credit units (cu) per profession every three  (3) years:

For 120 CPD units:

  • Accountancy

For 45 CPD units:

  • Aeronautical Engineering
  • Agricultural Engineering
  • Agriculture
  • Architecture
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Chemistry
