The release of the new MacBook Pro model with backlit keyboard is very useful, especially when you are typing in the dark, but if you are using your MacBook in broad daylight, keeping your backlit on is a little bit awkward isn’t it? While searching online how to turn off the backlit of MacBook Pro Mid 2012 model, I cannot find a direct answer how to turn off the light on my keyboard.
In my eagerness to find a setting or button which will turn off my keyboard backlit, I saw the key which will turn the light dimmer or brighter, but no turn off like the volume. I’ll press the dim key (located in F5 keys on my keyboard) continuous until I notice that the light turn off.
I write this post to share the easy way to turn off the backlit in MacBook Pro, just press the dim key in your keyboard until the light turns off, See the picture below.
Note: Placement of the key may differ based on the model, but as long as the same logo on the key you can try.
You can also use this method if you want to turn off your screen, just press the screen dim key on the keyboard until your screen turns off, see the picture below.
